This project took us to one of Manchester’s most recognisable locales: Printworks. Originally built in 1873 as a newspaper printing house, Printworks is one of Manchester’s premier leisure destinations, bringing fun, energy, and a bustling atmosphere to the city centre.
Our client's first task was to strip out the former cinema’s fixtures and fittings, from the basement to the roof. This included all M&E services, lift pit, and partitions. They used a crane lift to remove and replace the roof plant and oversaw the coordination and installation of the new building services.
Then they set about bringing the state-of-the-art bowling and social entertainment hub to life in Manchester’s Printworks. This included the creation of a new mezzanine level to house the lively entertainment area filled that includes a bar, American pool, beer pong, shuffleboard, and some classic arcade games. In keeping with its surrounding area, this new venue is modern, fresh, and exciting. Full of bright neon signs, colourful decor, and an industrial-like atmosphere.
