Externally my client really opened up the front of the site by removing low level planting which was obscuring the view to the building from the road; further landscaping works, a new signage and lighting scheme also helped to enhance the building and its purpose.
The extent of the external works carries through to the rear elevation with improved garden-dining area and new seating space.
Internally they wanted to achieve a feeling of space and a traditional sense of grandeur in the hallway, refocusing on the bar as you walk in. Off that they created individual spaces which they wanted to feel traditional and sympathetic to the building but at the same time have a contemporary twist.
Each space has its own personality and visually the customer is stimulated by different colours, patterns and textures with a few quirky elements, but overall the spaces feel warm and comfortable; making the customers’ drinking/dining experience a thoroughly enjoyable one.
